Vanessa is a Taiwanese-Canadian part time artist born and raised in Burnaby, BC. Her first experience with Chinatown was with that famous bakery with the (best!) classic pastries. She's been hooked ever since, and has been loving the community and connections that ripple outwards from the simplest shared bun. It is the constant reminder for her that so many different people can be drawn together with a common love. 

 

As someone born and raised in Burnaby, building connections to my culture was always a struggle and left to my own initiative. In the few years of becoming a creator, I found the possibility of incorporating all the elements that I loved about my roots into the art under my hand.

LycheeMochi was started as my channel to share art inspired by good things, and to me, my culture has always been a very good thing.
