The design was inspired by our roots of being Chinese growing up in Canada. Monkey King is a highly significant figure in Chinese culture and mythology. He embodies strength, determination, grit, and the quest for self improvement. These traits also represent Chinese Canadians growing up trying to learn, adapt and embrace two different cultures.

Hockey is very prominent in our lives, whether being a part of a team as a child or adult or watching your favourite team on TV with your family (go Canucks go!). Hockey is deeply intertwined with being Canadian and often seen as a symbol of national pride and unity.
