Amanda is a Canadian born Chinese (CBC) who was born and raised in Victoria, BC. Amanda grew up going to Chinatown (the oldest Chinatown in Canada!), on a weekly basis, where she would walk down the Fisgard St eating Chinese donuts (油炸鬼) or hawthorn flakes (山楂餠) while her parents browsed through the fresh vegetables offered at Asian markets. The memories she's made in Chinatown have a special, nostalgic place in her heart.

 

Growing up, Amanda loved to doodle and draw, where she could freely express her creativity. Today, she stays connected to her Chinese roots through her artwork. Amanda is proud to be able to share her own experiences through YeetHayClub.
